Beadazzled

Beadazzled is a playful audio companion I built to help my niece Diana practice her Brock string eye exercises independently.

Before Beadazzled, she needed someone to call out the colors during her exercises. When family members were busy, that was not always possible. The app lets her use her iPad and listen for spoken color cues at regular intervals while changing her eye focus.

She enjoyed the different voices so much that she eventually recorded her own voice, which we added to the app.

A small family problem turned into a fun little project featuring timed audio cues, multiple voices, customizable exercise settings, and a kid-friendly interface.

How it works

Listen for each spoken color word, look at the bead your eye-care professional has instructed you to use, and change your eye focus as directed.

Beadazzled provides the audio cues; the exercise itself should be performed according to instructions from an eye-care professional.
